Distances and times are approximate and change with traffic, fog and season.
For families in Noida and Greater Noida, Vrindavan is close enough that a wedding there can feel almost local. This page explains how to use that short drive well: getting guests down the Yamuna Expressway, choosing between a one-day and an overnight format, using the Jewar airport for relatives who fly in, and what to carry from home.
From Noida the road trip is about 130-150 km, roughly 2.5 to 3 hours on the Yamuna Expressway. Greater Noida households are already on the expressway, so their start is even simpler. Compared with other parts of NCR there are fewer city stretches to cross, which makes timings easier to predict.
For guests we usually arrange buses or tempo travellers from two pick-up points, one in Noida and one in Greater Noida, so relatives on both sides are covered. Those who prefer rail can take a train via Delhi or Ghaziabad stations to Mathura Junction, and we pick them up there for the short run of about 12-15 km to Vrindavan.
In late December and January, fog on the expressway can be thick, especially at dawn. On those dates we schedule departures for later in the morning.
Same-day wedding. Because the drive is short, many relatives can come for the ceremony and return the same night. A daytime or early evening muhurat makes this comfortable. We plan lunch or high tea around their arrival and keep return buses on a fixed departure.
One night, two functions. Close family travels down a day early for haldi and mehendi, stays one night, and the wedding happens next day. Day guests join for the main event only. This is the format we suggest most often for Noida families.
With a little extra time, a morning at Gokul or Vishram Ghat in Mathura before heading home is easy to add. Our article on the best time for a wedding in Vrindavan and Mathura helps with choosing a season; then run the actual date past your pandit, since many families avoid Chaturmas and Kharmas.
Noida International Airport at Jewar sits on the Yamuna Expressway between Noida and Mathura, much closer to Vrindavan than IGI. If your guests’ airline flies to Jewar, it can cut their road time considerably. Otherwise they land at IGI, roughly 3.5 to 4 hours from Vrindavan by road, and we arrange the transfer.
Ask everyone flying in to check current schedules before booking, and to share their arrival details with us. Our hospitality and guest management team keeps track of who lands where and sends a vehicle for each group.
With a short drive you can carry more than families coming from far away. Outfits, jewellery, puja items, gift hampers and even personalised decor pieces can travel in the family car. Flowers, Mathura peda for guest boxes, and the main mandap and stage setup are better handled locally by our wedding decor team, so everything arrives fresh.
Two local rules to know before you plan the menu and music. The sale of meat and liquor is banned in the main pilgrimage area of Mathura-Vrindavan, and many venues serve only vegetarian food with no alcohol, so please check with your venue. Music and DJs in open spaces generally have to stop by 10 pm.

When you have a rough date in mind, send it with a guest estimate through the enquiry form or our contact page. We will reply with a format that suits a family driving down from Noida.
About 130-150 km, which normally takes roughly 2.5 to 3 hours on the Yamuna Expressway. Allow extra time on foggy winter mornings.
Yes, that is one of the advantages of a Vrindavan wedding for NCR families. With a daytime or early evening ceremony, we run return buses so day guests are back in Noida or Greater Noida that night.
If their airline flies to Jewar, it is the closer option, as it lies on the Yamuna Expressway towards Mathura. Otherwise IGI works, with a longer road transfer that we arrange.
